Live Baccarat

Whether playing live baccarat online or in a casino, one of the funniest things about the game is the ability to bet on either the banker or the player. Only two hands are dealt each game, one to the banker and another to a rotating player or dealer. In a live baccarat game online, cards are dealt by a virtual dealer. Unlike many other card games, face cards have no value. An ace has a value of one, and the number cards are valued by their number. If the total value of the cards exceeds ten, the value is determined by the left most digit. For example, a 6 and a 7 that total 13 will be valued as 3. The highest value that can be achieved is 9.

Bets are made before the cards are dealt. Bets are made either on the banker or the player. Games vary between dealing cards face up or down, but the odds don't really change either way. Two cards are dealt as the banker's and two as the player's out of a traditional 8 deck shoe. If either one has an 8 or a 9, they win and no more cards are dealt. If the player has a total of 5 or less, a third card is drawn. If the bankers card is less than 2, they draw a third card no matter what. Otherwise, the bankers option to draw a third card is dependent on the third card drawn by the player. If a third card is drawn by the player, the bank stands at 6. If the player does not draw a third card, the banker stands at 7. All decisions in baccarat are compulsory, making the game one of total chance rather than strategy or skill. The payoff is 1:1 for a bet on the bank or player, but a standoff bet that wins on a tie pays off 8:1. Look up more details on the three card rules of baccarat before getting into live play.

Baccarat is no longer a game just for high rollers and debutantes. With live baccarat online, you can play a variety of variations for low or high payouts with a up to 12-14 players at larger games. The smaller the baccarat table, the lower the payout.
